Engagement session in Simi Valley, Ventura County

April!! I just happen to love this month; you may ask, why? Because I was born in this month. I have celebrated my birthday and
it was fantastic.. I couldn’t ask for more things.. ( hope my husband is not reading this..) : )
Last Friday I met with Sandra and Raymond to have their engagement session. We had such a great time. We were laughing and I tried to make the experience
fun and relaxing for them so they would remember this moment for many years to come.
We are going to be celebrating their marriage at the Santa Rosa church and the reception will take place at the Knollwood Country Club. Sandra and Raymond met on a blind date and this is how it happened:

"We met almost 7 years ago. It was a blind date that my sister had set up for me, which, at the time, I did not want to meet anyone. After several weeks of my sister insisting that I meet this guy I had no choice but to say yes. Our first date went so well that we both felt as if we had known each other for a long time. Raymond was and continues to be the most respectful person I had ever met and extremely sweet. From that day forward our romance began and here we are, almost 7 years later, getting married. He was my first and last “blind date.”

Cute, so adorable together and I have to agree with Sandra. Raymond is a true gentleman..!!

Engagement session in Orange County

This past week has been full of joy because I have been working with wonderful couples soon to be married. Monserrat and Steven are a very adorable couple. They had a very clear vision of what they wanted for their engagement session. They wanted something with a 50’s touch. Here is a bit of history about this session in Steven’s words: “I also wanted to tell you that I went over to my Bedstefar’s house; I am half Danish and Bedstefar is Danish for “father’s father” or grandpa. He had his photo album open and was telling me about the day that he bought the truck in 1959. He took my dad to Watson’s Drug Store for lunch and took a picture of the truck outside of the same diner where you took this picture. I told him everything that we did together and ended with telling him that I asked you to specifically take a picture in the same spot that he did 50 years ago. I saw him get teary-eyed and was just soooooo thankful and happy, you wouldn’t even believe it. I just wanted to let you know that you not only made it great for Monserrat and me, but you brought tears to my Bedstefar’s eyes with just the thought of one picture.” So this truck has lots of history and I love it. Steven chose to restore the 1959 truck all by himself. Monserrat couldn’t be happier with such a wonderful husband-to-be. We are celebrating there wedding at the Secret Garden in Moorpark it's going to be fantastic!!

Engagement session in Long Beach

Hello my friends. Last week I had the pleasure of photographing the engagement session of Claudia and Ian. Their wedding will take place in July, I am looking forward to photographing this event. We met at their home in Long Beach, then together we drove to the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Gardens at the California State University, Long Beach; great place. The engagement session almost got cancelled because we thought it was going to rain; but I was wrong, the sun came out to it's fullest. After shooting for a while in the Japanese Garden, Ian and Claudia felt a bit hungry. They invited me to have lunch with them, so we all drove to a sushi place with very yummy food. Thank you guys!! Right after we had lunch, we walked some more the streets and looked for more locations to photograph. Their wedding will take place at the Long Beach Petroleum Club next month.
